Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Just want a moment to write about how much i love Legend of Korra

because it's so awesome

I'm watching episode 4 right now and I respect the writers so much for how they handle Korra's character. Her response to Tarlock's request was relateable and believeable but isn't actually something I've seen a great deal in anime/movies/whatever - she's genuinely frightened and that's why she didn't join the battle, not because of her pride/morality/loyalty to Tenzin (which would still work with her character and the flow of the show, but seems less adventurous in terms of character development)

also Bolin is just so loveable and i can't handle it because i know that Mako and Korra are going to become canon and I just can't see it bwaaah

I've watched up to episode 4 too! It's nice that the episodes are coming out on a regular basis now. :3 I love Korra. She's so BA, and yet oddly cute sometimes. And Naga is awesome ~<3

i think bolin and korra have a lot more going for them but that's just me

i think it's because she needs someone fun and he has a good sense of humour, and i liked how they first met

but mako and korra do get on really well too, i just think it's a shame that bolin has so rapidly degenerated into comic relief (although he does fill that role so well...)

I don't particularly mind who Korra ends up with, personally. Neither Bolin or Mako have really made themselves better as a pair for Korra to me yet. If that makes sense.

I just think that Korra's probably going to be the one to end up with her since he's the, you know, "tall and handsome" one.

Yeah, I feel a little bad for Bolin. I mean he's a full fledged earth bender too, but it's not as prominent as the other's chara's bending is.

Loved episode 2, where Tenzin sticks around long enough for Korra to take the gold (figuratively speaking), and gives a little "WHOA HOH!" before composing himself. Want to see more of the guy.
